William C. Berkowitz graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. While working full time as an Internal Revenue Agent, he attended Brooklyn Law School and graduated with a J.D. degree. He then attended New York University School of Law while working full time as a tax attorney for Peat, Marwick and Mitchell and was awarded a Master of Laws (in Taxation).
Mr. Berkowitz is admitted to both the New York Bar and the Massachusetts Bar.
His practice has evolved over the years to a general practice with an emphasis on all matters relating to Real Estate, including representing Buyers and Sellers, Mortgage Lenders, Condominium Developers, Landlord and Tenant Law, Boundary Disputes, Quiet Title, Estate Administration, Estate Planning, Business Law, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury Law, and representation before the Internal Revenue Service.
Mr. Berkowitz is married with 2 children and lives in Stoneham, MA.

- Vice President and General Counsel of the U.S. Branches of Credit Lyonnais as well as branches in Nassau and the Cayman Islands
- Secretary of the Institute of Foreign Bankers
- Legal Counsel to the Institute of Foreign Bankers. Developed and presented testimony before both the Senate and House Banking Sub-Committees addressing proposed draft legislation promulgated by the Federal Reserve Board which resulted in a Bill known as the International Banking Act.
- Chaired a Blue Ribbon Commission consisting of both public and private sectors putting forward recommendations permitting foreign bank entry in the State of Florida.
